Taking IELTS in 2024? Find out what speaking topics you should prepare

• If you are taking IELTS in January, February, March or April 2024, you need to prepare all the 130 topics that are available in your IELTS Speaking Assistant app (30 part 1 topics, 50 cue cards, 50 part 3 topics): topics that are marked in the IELTS Speaking Assistant app ‘September 2023 — April 2024’ + topics that are marked ‘January — August 2024’
• If you are taking IELTS in May, June, July or August 2024, you need to prepare topics that are marked in the IELTS Speaking Assistant app ‘January — August 2024’ + topic that will appear in the first week of May 2024. These topics will be marked in your IELTS Speaking Assistant ‘May — December 2024’
• If you are taking IELTS in September, October, November or December 2024, now you should focus on the other 3 components of the test because speaking topics that you’ll need to prepare will only become available after 1 May 2024
